- About Me:
- Christine was born in Bordeaux,France,in 1977.Christine was an honours student in classical, modern and jazz at the “Académie de Danse de Bordeaux “ directed by Claude Paoli and at the “Conservatoire National of Bordeaux” before completing her skills by studying dance techniques of Limon, Cunningham and Graham.She was part of the “Compagnie Coline”in France and worked under several seminal teachers and choreographers, including Anjelin Preljocaj, Jean-Claude Galotta,Maguy Marin,Ramòn Oller,Peter Goss,Pascal Touzeau,Serge Ricci...
Then she joined the “ Batsheva Dance Company Junior” in Tel Aviv,directed by Ohad Naharin.
She went back to France and worked for many contempoary dance companies.She met the choreographer REDHA and it’s now ten years she had started her collaboration with him as soloist of the “Company REDHA” and as his first assistant.Consequently,she assisted REDHA to his choreographies for “the Jeune Ballet de France”(Paris),The “Alvin Ailey Dance Company” (New York), “The Het National Ballet” (Amsterdam) directed by Wayne Eagling,” The National Opera of Pretoria “(South Africa)... Christine also performed in the musical "Les Demoiselles De Rochefort" directed and choreagraphed by REDHA in Paris. She was apart of the Paris premiere version of the musical "Romeo et Juliette" (direction and choreography:REDHA) as a dancer and dance captain and is now attending to the international productions of the musical in Belgium, the Netherlands, London, Russia,Vienna,and Asia tour.Thanks to this musical experience she also developped the interaction between dancing and singing and consequently was teaching many singers for musicals.Christine worked also for TV,movies...
Christine most recently started to give workshops in France and outside of France :International Workshop of Voiron,studio Harmonic in Paris,Choreia in Paris,Bordeaux,Biarritz,Bayonne,Lyon,Annecy,Seoul in south Korea...
Keeping the work with REDHA,she starts creating her own choreographies.Her style mixtes the classical language,the modern fluidity and the jazz energy.Her dance is athletic,technic,precise and full of poetry.She has already created 4 short ballets and the last creation was born in the dance festival of Biarritz “Le Temps d’Aimer” in September 2008 and was played in the “Centre National Chorégraphique de Biarritz”.This ballet is a choreographic command from the Cultural Service of the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour(UPPA),in partnership with the CCN Ballet Thierry Malandain,Biarritz-Culture and the University.
